More “green” holiday shopping for everyone!

Today is from another Etsy artist, oh so good. And yes, the store is oh so good.

Handmade gifts and darling items you’ll want to buy up for yourself are all handmade with rescued paper and love. It’s like rescuing a puppy, without all of the training but you get all of the cuteness, lol.

Oh So Good is a Toronto-based stationery line developed by graphic designer Sarah Roberto. Her environmentally-conscious designs rescue discarded paper and books to create one-of-a-kind products that are sure to be loved. Inspired by international design, textile patterns and all things vintage, Oh So Good sells a variety of greeting cards, notebooks, and gift tags. So go ahead – indulge in great design and do something nice for the earth.

Know someone who needs a Magnetic “To Get or Not to Forget” Notepad? a new mom in need of a darling notepad set? a busy friend who needs a matchbook notepad set? or just looking for super awesome gift tags for the holidays? She’s got everything you need – AND that Mother Nature approves of!

I figure we all need some inspiration when it comes to Holiday Shopping. Everyone is watching their pennies, and looking for something that is inexpensive, but means a lot to the recipient, gift giver, and why not Mother Earth?

Today’s is from Etsy store, SoSheSews.  She describes her store as, “Making unwanted things more useful… one adorable creation at a time.” How perfect!

Brooke has developed an amazing process of using old plastic shopping bags into even more incredible items. Want a wallet or pouch? Purse or carrier? Gorgeous scented fabric flowers? Coffee Sleeves? or some cute jewelry? Search no more! Your eco-Holiday shopping problems have been answered!

dinosaurThrowing a dinosaur themed party? Love dinosaurs? or just plain looking for something fun to hang from a cup?

I have a treat for you! I designed a dinosaur template, and once you have it all cut out and folded – it hangs on a cup! (by his little “hands”)

One great idea is to use it for a dinosaur themed party (a child’s or kid at heart) and have the guests write their “dinosaur” name on them to identify each other’s cups, and a great way to keep everyone’s names straight!

Download the FREE PDF right here! Compliments of The Green Scene!

Another great thrifty and green find today is: Buzzy® Growing Kits – it gives you everything you need to grow Tomatoes or Strawberries – now for only $4.48!

Is everyone ready for Halloween? I know I am definitely not!

BUT, what I have enjoyed and made already are these mod paper pumpkins. They’re simple, easy and can be done quickly and with scraps you have around. I’ve used spare scraps of orange office paper, scrapbook paper, whatever you have around. Fair Warning: they’re addicting! I made tiny ones, big ones, fancy ones, plain ones…it’s a growing patch!

This other craft, a Halloween Wreath, got my eco-senses tingling. Why not use newspaper or magazines for this? It’d be great for any occasion, just switch out some of the elements!

Happy Halloween Crafting!
