Why not party like an eco-star? (Yes, I know how cheesy that is!) ModCloth, a fun and funky store is now selling Sustainable Party Cups. Shaped and have the same look at those very memorable party cups, but are sturdy and dishwasher safe!
Enjoy and party hard – we made it to Wednesday!
It takes only 5% energy to produce recycled aluminum foil compared with regular aluminum foil. The energy equivalent of 1 gallon of fuel produces 2.78 lbs virgin aluminum, while only 0.05 gallons is required to produce 2.78 lbs recycled aluminum. Expressed in terms of rolls of aluminum foil, 1.39 cups of fuel produces one roll of traditional foil, while only 0.07 cups is used for each If You Care roll. And these energy savings don’t even take into account the financial and environmental benefits of lower transportation weights and fuel costs.
This is a little scary but true information provided by If You Care, a maker of some very eco-friendly and very cool products to help you around the house. Other than aluminum foil, they have baking sheets, cupcake cups, baking twine, the works!
They do have these products at the Whole Foods, but if you want to buy them online visit HERE.
ModCloth, a fun site to look for fun dresses and funky apparel has a small slice of retro type accessories. I found a set of eco-friendly artist pen set. his useful set features twelve vibrant pens, composed entirely of corn starch plastic, which is 100% biodegradable. When disposed of properly, these pens will break down in approximately one year, leaving your lasting artistic impression upon a thankful, green Earth! Give the gift of environmental savvy to an artistic pal, or keep this unique set for yourself and enjoy hours of drawing and protecting your planet!

I tend to visit the blog, All Things Cupcake, on a daily basis. Yes, I’m in love with cupcakes. I have all sorts of cupcake items for my kitchen, I have a baking corner of the kitchen, I have a “Cupcake Queen” tshirt, and the list goes on from there… My fiance calls it an addiction, and well, I think he’s right.
This time, upon reading their blog entry, “Environmentally friendly cupcakes?” and it somehow combined all of my loves in one!
Check out how a new cupcake business has greened up everything in their business, even down to the discounts for people who show up on skateboards or bikes.

Who knew? Upon browsing another blog I came upon some really quite interesting news. Goodwill has an online ebay-like store! There are HUNDREDS of items up for sale! Search great categories like “Crafts & Hobbies” or “Antiques” until you turn crosseyed!
One of my Monday morning rituals is to open up Google Reader and see what my favorite blogs have been up to over the weekend. Today I found a super fun and easy summer project to do with your kids that is also green. And if you do it right, you can even recycle two items at once!
Skip to my lou shared this project created by the wonderful ladies of HowDoesShe.com. This homemade bubble blower project is super easy and will keep the kiddies entertained for hours… or at least ten minutes or so. Plus its a project that you can make with your kids, so you really get two activities out of it – making the bubble blower and then using the bubble blower.
A great website RePlayGround gives normally recycled and discarded items a new life! You can buy fun kits to ReMake items, such as the DIY Recycling Kits, DIY Recycling Project Books, cool product designs and furniture designs using plastic bags, bottles, glass products, the works!
