Everyone knows those big red cups, you’ve been handed them at parties, you’ve bought a package at the store, you’ve probably even written your name on a few.

Why not party like an eco-star? (Yes, I know how cheesy that is!) ModCloth, a fun and funky store is now selling Sustainable Party Cups. Shaped and have the same look at those very memorable party cups, but are sturdy and dishwasher safe!

Enjoy and party hard – we made it to Wednesday!

Mmmmonday :: Eco-Friendly Baking Supplies by Laura

It takes only 5% energy to produce recycled aluminum foil compared with regular aluminum foil. The energy equivalent of 1 gallon of fuel produces 2.78 lbs virgin aluminum, while only 0.05 gallons is required to produce 2.78 lbs recycled aluminum. Expressed in terms of rolls of aluminum foil, 1.39 cups of fuel produces one roll of traditional foil, while only 0.07 cups is used for each If You Care roll. And these energy savings don’t even take into account the financial and environmental benefits of lower transportation weights and fuel costs.

This is a little scary but true information provided by If You Care, a maker of some very eco-friendly and very cool products to help you around the house. Other than aluminum foil, they have baking sheets, cupcake cups, baking twine, the works!

They do have these products at the Whole Foods, but if you want to buy them online visit HERE.

One of my Monday morning rituals is to open up Google Reader and see what my favorite blogs have been up to over the weekend. Today I found a super fun and easy summer project to do with your kids that is also green. And if you do it right, you can even recycle two items at once!

Skip to my lou shared this project created by the wonderful ladies of HowDoesShe.com. This homemade bubble blower project is super easy and will keep the kiddies entertained for hours… or at least ten minutes or so. Plus its a project that you can make with your kids, so you really get two activities out of it – making the bubble blower and then using the bubble blower.
